Repentance - Dec. 14

Ryan brought up tonight that he thought repentance is a very over looked blessing. We talked about the gift Christ gave us - the opportunity for repentance. He has opened all the locked doors for us, now we must walk through them.

Tonight we read:

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us areason together, saith the Lord: though your bsins be as scarlet, they shall be as cwhite as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Alma 19:33
...their hearts had been achanged; that they had no more desire to do bevil.

Our song tonight was "God Loved Us So He Sent His Son"

Tonight was a short devotional, but one that I keep thinking about all evening. We read the scriptures, talked about the steps to repentance and sang a handful of hymns.

My thoughts are jumbled about repentance, or rather, how to express them. I will say I am very, very grateful for the gift & blessing of repentance.

Additionally, we started a new tradition that my friend Alisa inspired. The Red Envelope appeared on our tree last night. Each night it will have an invitation for a family activity to celebrate the season. Last night's invitation was to sleep by the light of the Christmas tree. Ryan was so funny. He kept saying, "Are you serious? Really? Ok!" and ran to get some blankets.
